I'm Jessica Lightsey and I love teaching! I graduated back in 2008 from the University of South Carolina. Before becoming a teacher, I was an ABA Therapist for children with Autism. I have been teaching for more than 10 years. I have taught regular education Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade. I have taught special education for the remainder of my time. I have taught Transition PreK and students with Autism. This is my second year in the MOID classroom.  I am the Langston Road's Drama Club Director and help co-sponsor Partners' Club. This year I have the honor of being the first ever Director of the Butterfly Project, which in an inclusive performing arts theater experience for students of all abilities. I have a wonderful family that supports me. We have become a foster family for my nieces and nephew as well.  I love working in education and am extremely excited about working at Langston Road Elementary for the third year in a row!
